Kurtis King was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. He moved to Moscow, Idaho, in 2001 and graduated from the University of Idaho in 2006 with his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). After graduation he worked and lived in Moscow, Idaho, until moving to Boise, Idaho, in 2008. King started at 蘑菇视频网 (CWI) in summer of 2009 as a One Stop Specialist but quickly moved into an advising position. His role as an advisor has morphed several times as CWI experienced exponential growth and change, but some things remained the same through-out: his dedication to helping students navigate the college experience, the encouragement he gives students to challenge themselves, and the small pushes he gives to students as they take step after arduous step towards their educational, career, and life goals. Getting your education is not an easy thing to accomplish, but it is a simple one. King hopes that his interactions with students might impart this small bit of wisdom that will help students make both small and large bounds in their lives.
